ROCKPORT, INDIANA, US — Farmer-owned cooperative Superior Ag celebrated the official opening of its new 32,000-ton fertilizer Ohio River Terminal at Rockport, Indiana, US.
Superior Ag said the Ohio River Terminal, strategically located in southern Spencer County, strengthens its ability to efficiently receive, store and distribute crop nutrients, enhancing supply chain reliability while positioning the cooperative for future growth.
The facility features modern unloading, storage and handling capabilities designed to improve operational efficiency while increasing fertilizer availability during critical application windows, Superior Ag said. The site provides direct river access that improves logistics and creates greater flexibility in serving the needs of area farmers in southwest Indiana, northern Kentucky and surrounding regions.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 25 included remarks from Superior Ag leadership, board members, and local officials, followed by guided tours of the facility and an open house for attendees.
